Eva’s first steps….

Once everyone had left her birthday party (which she loved being the centre of attention – where did she get that from I wonder?) I was playing with the video camera and was taking some general shots of Eva crawling around the living room, moving from present to present…. And then like magic, Eva pulled herself up on the coffee table, looked up with a glint in her eyes and took her first steps. She was quite cautious, took her time and moved like the big fella out of the Munsters…(yer man Herman I’d say… anyone else remember that?). She took four steps in all and then with minimum grace and fuss, fell back on her bum – big nappies – lots of bumper action). Needless to say she was proud as punch after that and tried in her limited linguistic way to tell anyone who would listen (or have tuned their ears into her unique chatter) that she was up and moving and it was like…… flying! Really amazing that I had the camera on her at the time; we have hardly been using it, but if Ryan shows me how to upload video to the blog you will see it here too....

Eva’s eerste stapjes

OP Eva’s verjaardag, toen alle gasten waren vertokken, heeft Eva haar eerste stapjes genomen. Paul was toevallig met de videocamera aan het spelen en hij stond aan toen Eva ineens vanaf de tafel naar ons toe kwam lopen. Het waren vier hele voorzichtige stapjes, en toen besloot ze dat kruipen toch sneller was. Twee mijlpalen op een dag! De afgelopen dagen heeft ze nog een par stapjes gezet, maar niet meer zoveel als vier achter elkaar. Misschien geeft ze aleen ‘optredens’ als we de video camera aan hebben staan...
